MAJAN Congratulates New MWUN President General, Honors Predecessor.

The Maritime Journalists’ Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) has expressed its heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, the newly elected President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN).
The announcement comes with a message of and optimism for the union’s future under the new leadership.
In a statement issued by MAJAN’s Public Relations Officer, Frank Odinukaeze, the president of the association, Mr Jerry Aguigbo, praised the new President General, describing his election as a recognition of his dedication, resilience, and the trust bestowed upon him by the union members. “Your emergence is a testament to your leadership qualities and the confidence the union members have in your ability to guide them toward progress, unity, and effective advocacy,” the statement read.
The association also used the opportunity to pay tribute to the immediate past President General and pioneer Chairman of the MWUN Board of Trustees, Dr. Adeyanju. MAJAN commended his visionary leadership and tireless efforts, which were instrumental in laying a solid foundation for the union’s continued growth. “Your legacy will undoubtedly inspire generations to come,” the message highlighted, reflecting on his enduring contributions to the maritime sector.
As the MWUN embarks on this new chapter, MAJAN expressed its optimism and support for the continued success of both leaders in their respective roles, emphasizing the importance of unity and progress within the maritime community.
