— Decorates newly promoted officers in Onne Customs Command
In accordance with the directive of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, the Customs Area Controller, CAC, Onne Customs Command, Compt Imam Baba, has decorated officers and men promoted in the area command.
In his presentation, the CAC said, ” Promotion is not a right but a privilege from GOD, therefore discharge your duties with the fear of GOD. You are expected to be more productive on duties and always ensure you are above board in the discharge of your duties. Promotion goes with more efforts and commitment on duties to ascertain the responsibilities and confidence reposed on you .”
The CAC added, ” Your promotion is a call to duties aimed to create synergies and seamless relationship on trade facilitation.”
Comptroller Imam Baba also thanked the Comptroller General of Customs for his robust human capital development agenda with a view to put and sustain the service on international standards and best practises.
His words: “It’s a new begining and new strategies needed for you to deliver on service delivery. Your shoulders have changed and the responsibilities should also changed. And you should always ensure you comply with the extant laws in the discharge of your duties.”
He added, ” I use this opportunity to commend our stakeholders and sister security agencies for their cordial relationship and friendship aimed to boost further synergies and collaboration in our operations.”
In his goodwill message, the Navy Commander, Naval College Onne, Commodore kashim, said, ” Promoted Officers and men should put in more efforts and commitment for promotion comes from GOD. I wish you all congratulations and those not promoted should be patience and work harder it will come.”
In conclusion, on behalf of promoted Officers, CSC Ewere, said, ” We express our profound gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi MFR and our Customs Area Controller, Compt. Imam Baba, who has always inspired and created enabling environment for us to acquire on the job training”.
