…Reviews activities of Nigerian maritime sector in 2022

The Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), yesterday held a strategic meeting, which focused on the performance of Nigerian Maritime sector in 2022.

Members, who turned up for the meeting carried out an extensive review of activities and policies of government in the maritime sector in 2022.

The strategic meeting, which took place at MAJAN Secretariat in Lagos today, lasted for over six hours,
as members reviewed activities in the maritime industry in 2022 and looked at a way forward for 2023.

MAJAN members also deliberated on how maritime Journalists through their consistent reportage can add value to the sector.

The meeting was an important gathering, as MAJAN members under the supervision of their President, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu, did a thorough review of activities in the maritime sector, including policies of government and how such policies affected the sector in 2022.

In his speech, the MAJAN President urged all members to be consistent and proactive in reporting activities in the industry, adding that Maritime Journalists must live up to their responsibility of agenda setting for government.

Also, all MAJAN members commended Comrade Ray Ugochukwu and his Exco for the rapid transformation of their Secretariat.

The strategic meeting ended in merry-making, as

moved to the dance floor, eating, dancing and bonding together throughout the day.
