The Nigeria Customs Service, (NCS) Ogun 11 Command, under the watch of DC Ahmadu Shuaibu, as the Customs Area Controller, (CAC) has performed excellently in revenue collection, with a large sum of N9,260,033,178.55 billion realised from excise factories.

In a chat with our reporter, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command, ASC1) D. Adamu, explained that the huge sum was generated in just five months, from January to May, 2023.
Speaking further, he informed that Ogun Il Command is saddled with the activities of Excise and Free Trade zone monitoring, in order to ensure payment of appropriate duties to government.
According to him, “the Command has 57 excise Factories within its area of operations, out of the 57, only 36 are in full production,11 are under documentation, and the remaining 10 are moribund”.

He added :
“The Command also
has two Free Trade zones; Guandong free trade zone located at Ibesa and Ceeplas at Sagamu axis.”
It is pertinent to state that this is the first time Ogun 11 Customs Command achieved an impressive revenue profile of N9,260,033,178.55 billion, since it was created some years back.
The CAC achieved this geometric increase in revenue through his assiduousness and regular tour of all Excise Factories in his area of coverage.
His frequent meetings with the stakeholders make them to willingly comply with payment of Excise Duties.
