MAJAN honours Dr Aniebonam as Freight Forwarder General of Nigeria

It was indeed a memorable occasion, on Thursday September 8, 2022, as the Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), formally commissioned its much talked-about Secretariat in grand style.
MAJAN also named its Conference room after Dr Aniebonam, as a mark of honour for his enormous supports to the association; and tremendous contributions to Nigerian maritime industry.
The secretariat located at No 19, Calcutta Cresent, has a standard news room, radio studio and conference hall for meetings.
MAJAN used that special occasion to honour the Founder, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), as the Freight Forwarder General of Nigerian Maritime Industry.

Speaking during the occasion, the President of MAJAN, Comrade Ray Ugochukwu described Dr Aniebonam as a Man of honour and a worthy Ambassador in the freight forwarding sector.

Also, the National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Hon. Tony Iju Nwabunike, represented by the Secretary General, Alhaji Babatunde Mukaila, commended MAJAN on its consistency in advocacating for a better maritime industry.
He commended MAJAN for taking a bold step in acquiring a secretariat to serve as its operational office, urging its members to do more in factual and investigative Journalism.
His assertions :
“This is a bold step and highly commendable.
Once you can be traced to a particular office, it shows that you are reliable in what you are doing.
“The ANLCA President sent his goodwill message to you all the way from the United States of America (USA), on this special occasion.
We will continue to partner with you in moving the Nigerian maritime industry Forward, for the greater benefit of our great country.

“This is indeed a great milestone and we wish you greater achievements in the future”.
In his remarks, the representative, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Apapa division, Mr Maggaji, advised MAJAN members to take their statutory duty of investigative Journalism more seriously.
