Vin Valuation Policy :The Powerful Pen Media Set For Round Table Discussion with Stakeholders.

The Powerful Pen Media Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos State chapter, is set again to hold a round-table discussion on VIN valuation policy implementation with Stakeholders, Freight Forwarders, Importers and Clearing Agents.
This is coming just two weeks after its Capacity Building Programme for Journalists in Lagos.
In a press release signed and made available by the Chairman of the Chapel, Udeme Clement,
the programme will take place in MAJAN Secretariat, at No 19 Calcutta Cresent, Apapa Lagos, on Tuesday 28th June 2022, by 10am prompt.
The programme will pave the way for Customs Brokers, maritime stakeholders, Freight Forwarders, importers and clearing agents to air their views on impacts of this policy on their businesses, since implementation of the adjusted version began.
Recall that after the initial protest embarked upon by clearing agents following introduction of VIN Valuation policy, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) after due consideration and rigorous engagement with stakeholders, adjusted the policy to make it user- friendly, capture accidented vehicles and other demands made by agents.
The round table discussion will give ample opportunity for Maritime Journalists to get first hand information from stakeholders on the impacts of the policy implementation so far.
